I’m exploring water based color matching systems and am very interested in and curious about Permatone. It seems most systems use a base with around 10% pigment. Is Permatone similar? I’m trying to compare prices vs yield, and I’m confused about how this system works.

Permatone does not use a pigment + base method for mixing. Permatone has a line of 11 colors (+extender) that have the pigment and base already combined. One will use different combinations + ratios of these pre-mixed colors to create their desired tone.
